Gifts Idea for My Daughter’s Birthday
November 29th, 2008My daughter’s eighth birthday was just around the corner and we decided that this would be a good year to throw her a themed party. As she likes the little mermaid we built the party around the movie and tried to get everything to tie in. Purse parties had not come to mind until I discovered the cutest little mermaid purses that we could get to use as party favors. Each girl that attended was given one and from the looks on their faces, the purse was the high point of the party for them. Each of the proudly carried the purse on their arm as they left the party.
She was at that age where clothing labels had an importance to the tenth power. There were only one kind of jeans, and the only type of shoes were Airwalk shoes. I could not tell you the amount of information they could tell me about the favored name brands, and why it was so important that I, her mother, should get those treasured articles of clothing for them. I guessed I should be grateful that they are concerned about their looks and the quality of clothes, rather than be focused on the appearance of being messy and unkempt. Overall, looks matter.
