The structure of your episode will depend on how long it is – 30 minutes (actually around 22 without commercials) or 60 (44 without commercials). You’ll need to craft the action for each ‘act’ within the show – 30 minute shows usually have three, 60 minute shows 5 to 6.
4. Next, sit down and craft the dialog and action. You’ll want to focus on character development so the audience will have someone to connect with.
5. Once you’ve written the pilot, give it out to trusted friends and mentors for feedback. Be ready to rewrite and revise – this is perhaps the most important phase of the project, because your ideas will need time to mature and develop as you and others look over the final product.
